Today at work and have been looking into the following:
How to Convert a .ico file to a .png File and keep the alpha blending
How to open an xml file as a recordset in an asp script
Convert .ico to .png The problem was that I wanted to take a windows xp icon file, open it in my image editor (psp8) and edit the background. I searched the web for some program which either had to be paid for and didn't do the job very well, However, Success!
I Found a program on my trusty freeware website www.snapfiles.com which is completely free and does the job perfectly. The program is called
icon Sushi which is a very hand icons editor that will let you open a icon file and export it to another format. It will also let you edit the icons. The homepage is located here:
towofu.s5.xrea.com/soft/e-inde… Open Xml as RecordSet My second problem, and still is a problem, is trying to find a way to open an xml or rss feed such a this one here
gatekiller.deviantart.com/jour… as a record set object in asp/vbscript. If anyone can help me out it would be much appriciated. I would imagine the code would look like this:
(Note: This is an example and I know that I would need a connection object etc... but just making it look simple)
<%
Rs = Server.CreateObject("ADOB.RecordSet")
Rs.Open = "file.xml"
Response.Wrire(Rs.RecordCount)
Rs.Close
%>
This seems very complicated but this is what I need to do.
Appart from that my day hasn't been exciting. I know sensation black and white are on in amsterdam soon. White: 3rd July, Black 12th July. So if you love dance music, I sugest you go.
See you all later
